Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data ZappFit collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Data We Collect
- Account: name, email, authentication identifiers, and profile settings.
- Meal inputs: photos and their metadata, audio recordings, and text submitted for nutritional analysis.
- Nutrition data: AI-generated estimates, meal history, goals, water logs, and streaks.
- Health data: activity metrics read from your device only with explicit permission.
- AI memory: preferences, restrictions, and patterns saved to personalize future responses.
- Device and usage: limited device, app version, reliability, and analytics events.
2. How We Use Data
We use data to deliver meal analysis and coaching, personalize the product, provide trends, secure accounts, manage subscriptions, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
3. Sharing and Processors
Trusted AI, cloud, database, payment, analytics, and error-monitoring providers receive only the data needed to operate the service. We do not share your data for advertising. We may disclose data when required by law.
4. Health Data
Health data is used solely to provide context to your experience. It is not sold or used for advertising. You can revoke access in device settings.
5. Photos and EXIF Metadata
Uploaded photos may include timestamps and GPS coordinates. This metadata may contextualize a meal. You can disable location metadata in your camera settings.
6. AI Processing
Photos, audio, and text may be sent to contracted AI processors. Results may be stored; raw photos are not retained after analysis. Providers do not use your content to train public models under our agreements.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is role-restricted. No system is perfectly secure. Report vulnerabilities to security@zapp.fit.
8. Retention
We keep data while your account is active. Account deletion removes personal data, meal history, AI memories, and health data within 30 days unless law requires longer retention.
9. Your Rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data and withdraw health access. Contact privacy@zapp.fit. GDPR rights apply where relevant.
10. Children
ZappFit is not intended for users under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The date above reflects its latest revision.
